Dogs really are a mans best friend for a reason, and that is the love and loyalty that they provide us.
The majority of dogs provide unconditional love and affection to humans – with lots and lots of licks and hugs!
Louboutina (or Loubie for short), is an adorable Golden Retriever who displays her love through cuddles – which she is not short of giving out!
Whenever Loubie goes on a walk with her owner, Cesar Fernandez-Chavez, it’s never a normal walk. The incredibly friendly Loubie demands on stopping to greet strangers within minutes of hitting the streets!
When they finally stop to give her a stoke, Loubie loves to hug them by wrapping her furry legs around their knees.
According to her owner, Loubie taught herself how to hug people! And due to this behaviour, their walks around their neighbour are very interesting.
It’s just not a regular walk, it’s a walk with hugging. So we don’t get to go too far

Before Loubie wanted to give a stranger a hug, she wanted to hold hands.
Ironically, the hand holding started all the way back on Valentine’s Day in 2014 – just after her owner came out of a long-term relationship.
“She started sitting up and grabbing my hands with both of her paws and then crossing the other paw over her paw. I remember joking with my friends, ‘At least I have someone to hold hands with during Valentine’s,” Cesar stated.
It soon became Loubie’s favourite daily activity, and she quickly began holding hands of those strangers she passed!
Then a few years later, Loubie started to show affection in a different way – this being through hugs!
Instead of holding hands, she would instead sit very close to Cesar, right near his legs. Then she began to wrap her legs around his!
At first, Cesar thought it was strange but allowed to her continue doing it.
And it was from that moment that her habit of hugging continued.
In fact, it only grew stronger.
“We’d run into neighbours that she knew, and instead of just leaning on them, she started hugging them and then random people who would come to us”
“Loubie quickly became a social media star – people couldn’t get enough of Loubie and her hugs.”
“Sometimes, people will run up and ask for a hug, but she needs to bond with the person first. But when she sits next to someone, then it’s much more likely that something will happen.”
Loubie has taught herself that she loves to hug people – she wouldn’t do it if she didn’t.
And the people she hugs clearly love it too, making the experience for the pair loveable!
