Swan Hugs Man Who Rescued It By Wrapping Her Neck Around Him

Swans are not known for being affectionate, or even approachable animals.

They’re known for being territorial and aggresive which can be pretty intimidating.

This is why this moment where the host of the hit TV show ‘Born To Explore’ hugged an injured swan is so amazing.

Richard was visiting the Abbotsbury Swannery in the UK when he came across the swan who injured herself when flying into a chain-link fence.

He helped by holding the swan whilst he was being examined to comfort her.

“When I put it next to me I could feel its heart beating and it just relaxed its neck and wrapped it around mine,” Wiese told ABC News. “It’s a wonderful moment when an animal totally trusts you.”

The swan didn’t recoil or attack out in fear when he was handled by Richard. Instead, the swan had realized he was safe and felt comfortable enough to give Richard an unforgettable hug.

Yet this particular swan didn’t recoil or attack out of fear when handled by Wiese. Instead, the swan realized that he was perfectly safe in his rescuer’s arms and felt more than content enough to provide Wiese with an unforgettable hug.
