“It was the best surprise”
We’ve said it time and time again, dogs are certainly man’s best friend, and there’s no surprise why. Their unconditional love, loyal companionship, and just the fact that they always greet us with extreme happiness when we return home from wherever we are, just some of the many reasons.
So, of course, we are going to try and make our beloved best friends feel as special as possible. Cut to a family from Perth in Australia who have recently honored their beloved family dog by throwing him a surprise birthday party. The senior pup couldn’t be happier!
Meet Bailey, the senior pup who has just celebrated his 13th birthday & was very excited about it

Katie D’Souza recently shared a video and some photographs celebrating the birthday of their beloved family dog called Bailey. Bailey turned 13 years old (68 in dog years) and the whole family threw a surprise birthday party for the senior dog to mark the occasion. No birthday party would be complete without a song of course.
Bailey literally couldn’t be happier as you can see in the video below:
The video of Bailey’s birthday party went viral because of how adorably happy Bailey got, as if it was his very first party
The Facebook post included the caption “Happy 13th birthday to our boy BAILEY! He brings us so much joy and we love him heaps!” And while Bailey, doesn’t grasp the concept of a birthday, just like most other doggos, he still clearly appreciates his family’s love.
This was the family’s way of showing their unconditional love and saying ‘thank you’ to Bailey for bringing them much joy
His family even got him a hot-dog chew toy for his birthday, as well as of course the cake.
