Eris is a Borzoi sighthound and lives with her humans Lily and Savannah in Richmond, Virginia.
Eris is one of those unique dogs that will make you look twice, if not already for her world record-breaking nose.
She was adopted 2 years ago, and after a little growing, it became clear that Eris had a remarkable snout.
Her nose was measured at 12.2 inches, which is more than a whole foot long.
Understandably, Lily and Savannah often get stopped by passers-by due to their fascination with Eris’s snout.
“We get stopped a lot, because people want to ask questions, or know what kind of dog she is. She’s also got a really big personality, so a lot of our neighbours know who she is, and she just loves saying hello to them!” Lily told Bored Panda
The Borzoi sighthound dog breed originated in Russia where their name literally translates to ‘fast,’ they’re known as wolfhounds there.
They may look similar to greyhounds, but they are quite different. They are much quieter and make great pets.
Eris’s Instagram account has gained quite the following, with over 240k followers tuning in to her life.
