What a sweet way for this animal to thank its rescuers 🦘
According to Daily Mail Australia, David Boyd was the man who spotted a kangaroo in Lake Burley Griffin in Canberaa.
He could see that the water was freezing rapidly and the kangaroo was not able to get out
Luckily, a pair of brave bystanders took to the icy waters to get the roo back on dry land.
They were careful not to startle the kangaroo as they approached, but as they reached out to the animal it started to flail its arms.
Undeterred, they got hold of the kangaroo and helped it back to safety.
A third man came to help with lifting it out of the lake and gave comfort to the animal as it was scared and shivering.
Kangaroos can potentially be dangerous if they see someone as a threat, but this one seemed to have an understanding that the men wanted to help.
