Photographers shooting a BBC Earth program captured the incredible moment a Silverback gorilla stopped traffic so his family could safely cross the road.
Over 11 million people have watched the old BBC Earth video below since it was recently reposted on Twitter.
It shows a huge silverback gorilla who stops in the middle of the road, acting as a protective barrier between the cars and his family who are crossing the road.
The Alpha Gorilla displays his protective instinct for his family as the onlookers take pictures of this unusual occasion.
The silverback didn’t move until every member of the family had crossed over.
