Surfers Spend 6 Hours Saving A Crying Baby Whale From Being Stranded

This is the incredible moment when a couple of surfers spent six hours trying to help a stranded baby pilot whale back home.

As Mauricio Camareno and his friends were about to catch some waves surfing, they spotted the odd lump in the water and found out it was a baby pilot whale.

The poor baby was stranded during the low tide and was apparently crying out for help.

The men managed to carry the whale back to the open sea, but she was too exhausted to even swim away!

“We had to lift it between six because it was very heavy. The section from where we found it to the river was about 50 meters and we had to stop, put it on the ground, and lift it again.”

“She was very weak and could not keep afloat,” so they decided to stay with her, keeping her afloat for over 6 hours so she could breathe.

When she got her strength again, they took her to the deeper water, and eventually, she just swam off all on her own.
