Extraordinary Pair Of “Ghost Moose” Spotted Crossing A Canada Highway

This is the extraordinary moment a couple from Canada spotted two rare “ghost moose” crossing the road at the same time.

Nicole Leblanc and her husband Maurice Lamothe were driving in Ontario when they happened across the beautiful creatures.

The moment described as “beautiful” was quickly captured on camera, uploaded to Facebook and quickly gathered a lot of attention.

“What a beautiful sight! This is what we saw on Saturday on Hwy 101 West about 15 minutes from Foleyet!”

“My husband has been hunting for years and it’s the first time he’s ever seen albinos. He was so excited.”

See for yourself in the video below:

The white moose, which suffer from Leucism are known as ‘spirit’ or ‘ghost’ moose and are sacred in some indigenous cultures.

“People are amazed, it’s not every day that you get to see it and I was able to tape it … It’s a beauty to see.”

Thankfully for them, Ontario has banned hunting any moose which are more than 50% white colored.

Intially the couple believed the moose was albino, but experts have noticed that they do still posses some pigments in their skin and therefore are only ‘white.’

What a chance of a lifetime!
