You would expect a green bird to blend into its mostly green surroundings.
But that’s not the case with the glistening green tanager.
This bird is so bright green, that it practically glows in the dark. It stands out like a sore thumb in it’s environment.
It’s difficult not to be in awe when looking at the bright colored wonders.
What is really amazing is how this little bright creature makes everything else look dull around it.
There is a reason why they have the word ‘glistening’ in their name.
You wouldn’t be questioned if you said that these beauties glow in the dark.
The Glistening-Green Tanager can be found in the forests of Columbia and Ecuador.
Unlike alot of other bird species, there isn’t much of a difference between male and female.
Although the females are a little duller and sometimes don’t have the same white and red spots on top of their heads.
