A chipmunk was seen on the video running about on a table with what looked to be some type of nut.
A doe and her young fawn caught a whiff of the food and found their way over to the table.

According to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, the organization is no longer allowed to lay out food or anything else that can attract or lure deer owing to state law.
The chipmunk was first seen chewing on something on the outside table, adjacent to a jar filled with what seemed to be acorns or some sort of nut.
He looked uninterested in the main course, preferring instead to graze on the side. A doe and her youngster approached the table soon after, anxious to consume whatever the chipmunk was eating.
They took a couple of sniffs about the area, looking for anything to eat on the ground and in a huge tree.
When they came face to face with the chipmunk and the little assortment of food on the table, their foraging came to a halt. After a little welcome, they were able to continue their happy feast.

Chipmunks and deer both consume the same foods. While it’s still unknown what the chipmunk in the viral video was eating, it wouldn’t be surprising if it was an acorn or another nut or seed.
Deer, on the other hand, aren’t as fussy about what they eat. Leaves, twigs, weeds, grass, acorns, fruit, and mushrooms are among the foods enjoyed by North American Whitetail.
