Meet the queen of all the cat ladies, Alla Lebedeva who claims her farm in Siberia is home to “a million, maybe more” Siberian cats
The farm run by Lebedeva and her husband turned into an involuntary cat shelter, dubbed ‘Catland,’ after it was overrun with the glorious furry cats.
It all started in 2004 after the couple’s ‘lion’ cat named Babushka gave birth to five sweet ginger cats, this was how their journey began.
The farm is now overrun with the furry critters, but their relationship is a 2 way street as the cats, “protect the chickens and rabbits from rats and mice.”
For over a decade now, they have had too many to count, and they try to raise them all!
“How many do we have now? To such a question I usually answer ‘a million, maybe more,’” Lebedeva says to DesignYouTrust.
“They live in the henhouse… They have three ‘little bedrooms’ there where can they sleep according to how they feel.”
Photos of the cats are regularly shared by Lebedeva on social media and have since gone viral.
People online often mistake the Siberan breed for Norwegian Forest cats, although similar, they are noticeable different.
