This is the heartwarming moment when a pair of giant pandas slide down a snow-covered hill and raise their arms in excitement, just like on a rollercoaster.
Footage taken from the Smithsonian’s National Zoo in Washington D.C. shows the 22-year-old female giant panda and a 23-year-old adult male giant panda, having a whale of a time in the snow.
The panda pair both lie flat on their backs as they slide downhill and soak in the snow.

The panda raises its arms as if on a rollercoaster and slides down the hill at the zoo in Washington D.C.
Elsewhere, another panda performs some somersaults and starts rolling around in the snow before getting back up and shaking the snow off their fur.
A message on the zoo’s social media page read: ‘Slides, somersaults and pure panda joy. Happy snow day from giant pandas Mei Xiang and Tian Tian!’ The zoo said the pair’s five-month-old cub Xiao Qi Ji was also let outside to explore the snow and soon found the ‘courage to take a little nip at the fresh powder’.
