This is the story of a stray cat who surprised everyone when he became BFF’s with a black bear
One day, the stray made an appearance at the Folsom City zoo and animal sanctuary, when he chose to make himself comfortable in the bear enclosure.
To everyones surprise, the cat wasnt scared of anything, and was eating the food that was being put out for the bears.
“Once she started coming in here on a regular basis, we started putting food out for her in the morning as well,” senior keeper Jill Faust told KXTV.
After a while, he was given the name “Little Bear” as he was the same color as the bears and spent most if his time with them.
“Often when Sequoia (the bear) takes a hike through the ‘bear forest’ his cat friend walks with him,” the zoo told ABC News, via a statement.
“She rubs against walls and visitors can hear her raspy purr from quite a distance.”
Some visitors expressed their concern over the friendship, “I thought he was going to be eaten by the bear,” said a young boy.
The pair go on walks together and lay about together, although they don’t play physically, the companionship between them is clear.
The pair have been hanging out together for several months with no issue yet, indicating that maybe they really do enjoy each others company.
