Monarch butterflies are some of the most beautiful and recognizable butterflies in the world.
Until now, it has been very difficult to capture and observe them without harming or spooking them.
The robotic hummingbird was built for this purpose exactly, since butterflies don’t consider hummingbirds a threat, this ‘spy hummingbird’ was able to get a close as it wanted without spooking the butterflies.
