It’s always adorable seeing animals looking after each other, especially if they are a completely different species.
This is the moment a group of horses looks after a baby fawn while she waited for her mother to return.
The heartwarming scene was captured by Kally May on a ranch in Colorado where she noticed a fawn with no mother in sight.
Thankfully though, three horses were around to look after her, and Kally captured some beautiful photos showing the horses nestling the baby fawn, keeping her safe.
Kally said the horses were ‘being protective from predators.’
It’s normal for a mother deer to leave her fawns alone while she looks for food, but she always returns later in the day.
Even though Kally wanted to help, she was advised to not interfere with the fawn as it would make it more difficult for the mother to find it, so she left it alone.
Sure enough, it was all a happy ending as the mother deer came back to pick up her young, and all thanks to the three kind horses.
