Max the dog went missing for almost two months from his San Antonio home and his family were worried they would never see him again.
That was until they got a call from Deputy Perez of the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office about a dog they had found wandering aimlessly in the neighborhood.
Perez already knew about Max from the lost dog flyers in the station, so as soon as he arrived at the scene, he instantly knew it was him.
So he called the family to give them the good news, and shortly after, they were reunited.
It is still unclear how Max survived so long on his own, but regardless, his family were over the moon to have him back.
Two special little girls were especially excited for Max to be home, and one of them could not stop crying tears of joy while holding on tight to Max when they were reunited.
Max is now safe and sound at home thanks to the great work from the anonymous caller who spotted Max and Perez for recognizing him and bringing him home.
“Max and his family were reunited and as you can see on the children’s faces, they could not be happier,” the sheriff’s office said on Facebook. ”Thank you to Deputy Perez for facilitating this reunion!”
