FedEx Helps Transport 3 Mountain Lion Cubs Rescued From California Wildfires (Video)

Three rescued mountain lion cubs were transported by FedEx from Oakland Zoo in California to Ohio’s Columbus Zoo and Aquarium.

‘Captain Cal’ one of the baby lions was around 4 weeks old and weighed in at 3½ pounds was rescued from California’s famous Zogg Wildfire.

A video has been released (below) which shows the cubs on an overnight journey to their new home in Ohio via a FedEx aircraft.

When they were discovered, Captain Cal’s whiskers were singed off and his paws were badly burned.

He was then brought to the Oakland Zoo Veterinary Hospital from treatment and rehabilitation.

The other two cubs were unnamed sisters, the 3 siblings were then packaged up and sent to the Columbus Zoo.

“Captain Cal and the girls received top-notch service on their early morning journey from our Vet Hospital to Oakland International Airport, and on to Columbus Zoo and Aquarium by dinnertime.”
