A mischievous pup named Rajah ran away after being frightened by fireworks in Greenville, South Carolina.
She returned hours later at 3.A.M dirty, ready to see her family again, so like a clever pup, she rang the doorbell to get in. Luckily, the wonderful moment was caught on camera.
Rajah’s owner, Mary Lynn told SWNS: “She was in the backyard with our other dog, and our neighbor started shooting off fireworks, and I knew she’d be scared. I went to the backyard — and she was gone.”
Mary posted on Facebook about Rajah and recruited others to help her search the neighborhood in an attempt to find the missing pup.
“My husband came home, and I was driving around looking for her,” says Mary. We were ready to call all the shelters, and she just showed up and rang the doorbell.”
The good boy rang the bell at 3.A.M. while jumping around and sticking her face right in the doorbell camera.
“I don’t even know how she knew how to do that. I’ve never shown her how,” says Mary. “She doesn’t go out in the front yard except to the car, so she’s never seen us use the doorbell.”
“Ryan was up waiting around to see if she’d pop up. He saw her on the porch, and he ran off and got her,”
“She thought she was in so much trouble, and she was sad and sulking, but we were like ‘we’re just happy you’re back,'” Lynn said. “It was hilarious, and we couldn’t stop laughing.”
It is still unclear exactly where Rajah was during her time away, but at least it looked like she enjoyed herself.
“She had thorns on her and seemed to have rolled in poop,” she said. “So, it seems like she had a great time.”
