Dog Abandoned At Gas Station Is Now The Cutest Employee

Meet Negão, a friendly pup and probably the cutest gas station employee in the world.

He was abandoned by his previous owners a few years back. Sabrina Plannerer and her partner purchased the Shell gas station where Negão was abandoned and noticed him roaming around the site when it was under construction.

Instead of shooing Negão away, they decided to try and help him, and even give him a job!

“We adopted him immediately and got him all the care animals need,” Plannerer tells The Dodo. “We took him to the vet to get vaccinated and de-wormed. We bought him food, a dog house, and a leash to take him on walks.”

So they made him an official employee, gave him a worker’s ID card and a uniform. And as it turns out, the doggo is a natural when it comes to customer service.

“Negão waits for people to arrive, and then goes up to say hello, winning them over with his charms,” Plannerer says. “Customers love him. Some people even bring him toys.”

Negão goes on daily walks into town with either Plannerer or another employee and since the gas station is staffed 24/7, there is always someone there to take care of him and make sure he’s safe and happy.

Negão is now even a posper-pup for a charity called Grupo FERA that aims to pair up stray dogs with business in the event they are unable to find a traditional home.

“It’s been sensational, encouraging people to have more respect for animals, and workers enjoy having the companionship of a four-legged colleague.”

Plannerer hopes Negão’s story can help inspire other establishments to hire a canine member of staff!
