This is the story of a 375-pound black bear who seems to have wandered a little too far from home at Aligator Point, Florida
He was spotted going through a local residents garbage when the wildlife authorities were called.
They planned to capture the bear and safely return him to his homein the forest, but not all went to plan…
Once the bear was located, they attempted to sedate him with a tranqulizer dart so they could safely transport him home.
The shot successfully hit the bear, but unfortunately he panciked and took off into the water.
Problem was that he was now becoming drowsy as the tranquilizers began to kick in.
Then he couldnt even swim and began to drown, thankfully though, Adam Warwick, a biologist with the Wildlife Commission was there to lend a hand.
Without any hesitation, he jumped in the water, grabbed the 375lb bear and began to drag him to shore.
The bear was almost completely sedated at this point
Warwick stayed calm and quickly began to drag the bear to shore
He was struggling to stay afloat while also keeping the bears head above the water.
But he didnt give up, and kept pushing and swimming to land.
He saved the bears life
Now the team faced a new challenge, how to get the 375 pound bear out of the water.
They called a tracker to do the job of moving the sedated bear.
Back at the bears home, he looks happy and back to normal, little does he know he was saved from the brink of death!
What a hero, well done Adam!
