This is the beautiful moment a lioness is reunited with the man who raised her as a cub.
Kiara, named after the Lion King character, waited patiently for her beloved adopted ‘dad’ before leaping at him excitedly.
Before her dad, a man named Adolfo, even enters the enclosure, Kiara can sense him and excitedly paces around the yard.
As soon as he enters the enclosure, amazingly, she jumps at him and embraces him with a big hug.
She brings him to the floor with her leap and begins to nuzzle him while continuing to embrace him with cuddles.
They continue to wrestle and hug for several minutes, and luckily for us, the moment was captured on camera for us to see.
Adolfo rescued Kiara when she was only a baby, but recently she had to move to the Black Jaguar-White Tiger Foundation as she was in need of some specialist care.
The foundation, which is based in Mexico, focuses on rescuing big cats, their mission is: “To rescue Big Cats from sad circumstances and provide them with the best lifestyle available. A life governed by Love and respect.”
