Paralyzed Pup Rushes To Welcome Her Solider Dad Home From Deployment

This is the touching moment when a paralyzed pup excitedly hurries to the front door to welcome back her military dad after 6 months

Emma is a small pit bull mix with a large personality, who dispute her birth defect leaving her hind legs paralyzed, and doesn’t let anything stop her from showing her love.

You can see in the video, her doing her best to rush to the door as her military dad walks in, and then proceeds to give him a big embrace.

Apparently, when someone comes in through the front door, Emma just “sits at the end of the hallway and waits,” but this time she makes a special effort.

Despite not being as fast as her four-legged siblings, she shows that she is just as excited as any of them to see dad again.

Check out the heartwarming moment on video here:

“My husband has been gone for 6 months. Before he left, we adopted (are long-term foster parents for SNARR-a special needs animal rescue) a special needs puppy with a severe birth defect,” said Emma’s human, Melissa Proctor Swanson.

“Emma and her daddy were very close! It broke her heart when he left. When I come in the door, she normally sits at the end of the hallway and waits for me to pick her up. This time, when her daddy came in, she went to him!”

“She has a spirit unmatched by any dog. Her determination to do things is inspirational.”

Since the video was filmed, Emma has had her hind legs amputated to make moving around a little more comfortable for her.
